Spend Thanksgiving weekend with Hungarian Folk Dancing on beautiful Vashon Island near Seattle!
We are fortunate to host Lajos Izsó and Hajnalka Guti Izsó to teach Romanian and Hungarian folk dances from the Transylvanian village of Bonchida.
Program schedule:
Friday: Morning and afternoon dance workshops, cold plunge, dinner at 6 pm, followed by a slide show, singing and táncház with recorded music
Saturday: Morning yoga from 8 am, brunch from 9 am, morning and afternoon dance workshops, cold plunge; we cook our own Hungarian dinner together in slow cookers (menu TBD), evening táncház and singing with Forrás Banda
Sunday: Morning yoga from 8 am, brunch from 9 am, cleanup, cold plunge, departure.
Price will be
$200/full camp (Friday morning to Sunday noon) or $125/day (food, lodging, dance class). (Forgatós dancers and/or HAAW members get a discount).
Dinner-and-táncház-only tickets are available for $40 for those who can't attend the workshop but would like to join the party (lodging in heated cabins can be arranged by request).
